Your Holiday Card will Look like this

13 November 2012

If you’re on my holiday mailing list this season, SPOILER ALERT, your card will look like one of these. I’ve been scouring the interweb for ways to give back this holiday season and came across these greeting cards yesterday from the foundation Robin Hood where 100% of my purchase will go towards fighting poverty in New York.  Last year, Robin Hood funded over 200 programs in New York raising over $146 million to help fight these staggering facts:

  • 1.4 million New Yorkers rely on emergency food.
  • 40,000 NYC schoolchildren don’t have a place to call home.
  • 365,000 people look for work each day in NYC and can’t find it.

I opted for the blank card to DIY calligraphy the envelope myself like the featured image of this post (wish me luck.) If you’re not  feeling as ambitious you can tap the The Robin Hood calligrapher who will hand-address each envelope and pen your name inside. This is also a great option for businesses who send out holiday cards to clients, have your logo imprinted and lookie there, you’re professional + civic minded all in one shot!  Stamping and mailing services included.

There are three design by incredible artists: David Hockney, Marchesa, and Hatch. A set of 10 costs $30, but you have more friends than that, don’t you?  Order right here.
